Alexander L. Jansen
Alex Jansen (b. 1995) is a Lighting Designer & Documentary Cinematographer born and raised in Freeport, Illinois. Jansen is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and Highland Community College and has been published in The Prairie Wind (2016 & 2017) His cinematography has been featured in his own work, Big Wing (2018), Tyger (2019), and Rawleigh (2016). As well as the social media documentary StanGirl (2019) directed by Halonah Abraham. Jansen is currently the Fine Arts Technical Coordinator for Highland Community College, located in Northwest Illinois.
Jansen is passionate about small town history and preservation. His goal is to preserve history and pass down the local traditions through authentic storytelling to future generations.
